Lizzy's fitness journey began as a middle school basketball player who would always come in last place in team sprints. After her first season on the team, Lizzy decided to take up running in the offseason to improve her fitness and speed. Lizzy developed a love for running as a means to train for sports, which quickly developed into a love for running just to run once Lizzy was in college. Insert achilles tendonitis, and random aches and pains that no yoga could fix. It was time for a change. This is when Lizzy found group fitness and fell in love with strength training.
Fast forward six years later, Lizzy has developed a group fitness concept that combines what she loved from being a group fitness client and what she knows works from watching her personal training clients get stronger. At Homewerk, you will find workouts programmed to progress you through a training plan. Your progress won't plateau like it will when you hop in to random group fitness classes. More importantly, you will find an amazing community of people from across the world who want to get stronger, grow and learn together.
Lizzy has a BA in Economics and Hispanic Studies from the University of Pennsylvania and an MS in Human Nutrition from Drexel University. Lizzy is an NASM-Certified Personal Trainer, group fitness instructor, and has completed over 1,000 hours of supervised practice required to become a Registered Dietitian.
Lizzy's goal is to combine fitness and nutrition to help her clients get stronger and learn to fuel their bodies like the athletes they are. We all start somewhere - come as you are to Homewerk, put in the werk, and find your strongest self.
